I like the grey dress, but do you think the ruffle is overpowering? Perhaps only suited for a tall girl. The chain mail and organza is stunning - different, yet really pretty and flattering. I'm not crazy about the vest - that cut-out under the breasts is a little strange.

I buy almost exclusively vintage, but I must admit I have a serious soft spot for John Fluevog shoes. They're a small, independent shoe chain that has shoe sole "families". As a hard-cored Manhattan walker, comfort is essential, but these are also crazy stylish, with a low but curvy heel and thick sole: http://www.fluevog.com/

I'm very jealous. Eze and Cap Ferrat are among my favorite places. Try to make it to surreal Monte Carlo. I was there two weeks ago and the shopping is unbelievable, especially the jewelry, which is probably the most haute in the world and fun to see. Forget about using your credit card if you buy something - you'll need a wire transfer! Enjoy!

What I like to do is take a nap for whatever amount of time I require and then relax have dinner and go to bed as usual. The next day after a good night's sleep I'm fine and well adjusted to european time.

I loved the views of the Mediterrian.

Cap Ferrat is much nicer than Cap Antibes, more picturesque and less low rent tourists.

If you took an overnight flight, don't go to sleep when you arrive, instead spend the day out doing something easy (I like to swim and rest by the pool, if available), then take a short nap late afternoon - an hour or less, have an early dinner and go to bed by 10:00. It's a long day, but you'll wake up early tomorrow morning, well adjusted to London time.

I just took this bag on an overnight flight to Milan and stashed it under the seat in front of me. The occupant of that seat must have spilled something - maybe water, maybe something else - on the carpeting near my bag and over the next several hours the liquid in question leached up the sides of the bag, leaving a nasty, whitish water mark halfway up the bag. Luckily, the plasticized interior lining kept the contents of the bag dry, but the back is now less than pristine and therefore, unusable. I have to buy another one - and I like the gray color!
